Womens Basketball Director - Rise Above Sports Group

Location: Remote & Travel-Based | Position Type: Contract |

Compensation: $1,000 USD - $3,000 USD Commission Based : Salary ( Trial Period - Base Salary Offered after Trial )

Overview:

Rise Above Sports Group is seeking a Womens Basketball Consultant to lead and expand opportunities for female athletes through consulting, recruitment, showcases, and training programs. This role will focus on growing the womens basketball division by establishing partnerships, organizing scouting events, and providing career development resources for players.

The ideal candidate is passionate about womens basketball, has strong industry connections, and understands the professional and semi-professional basketball landscape globally.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Player Consulting & Recruitment:

- Identify and consult with female athletes interested in professional or semi-professional opportunities.

- Evaluate players through film breakdowns and in-person scouting.

- Connect players with domestic and international teams, leagues, and training programs.

2. Showcase & Tour Organization:

- Plan and execute womens basketball showcases and combines.

- Coordinate logistics for overseas tours, including scheduling games and securing partnerships.

- Oversee player placement strategies for international leagues

3. Program Development & Partnerships:

- Develop and implement womens basketball training programs.

- Establish partnerships with teams, agents, coaches, and organizations to create player pathways.

- Assist in securing sponsorships and funding for womens basketball initiatives.

4. League & Agency Operations Support:

- Work closely with the Rise Above Sports Group team to create marketing strategies for the womens division.

- Provide career development resources, including financial education and contract negotiation insights.

- Attend industry events to expand the network and advocate for womens basketball opportunities.

Qualifications:

- Experience in international basketball as a former professional player , scouting, coaching, player development, or sports management.

- Strong understanding of the professional womens basketball landscape, including overseas markets.

- Established industry connections with coaches, teams, and league executives.

- Ability to organize and execute showcases, combines, and recruitment events.

- Strong communication, leadership, and business development skills.
