Role purpose:

Cloud architects are majorly responsible for working with a team of IT professionals such as DevOps engineers and software developers. Using the cloud technologies (MS Azure, AWS, GCP) to develop the cloud solutions.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

• Responsible for supporting the development of Vodafone cloud offerings.
• Production and maintenance of architecture/design documents for offered solutions.
• Capturing, documenting and sharing architecture best practices.
• Providing guidance to product and solution designers that are contributing to the cloud architecture or making use of it for customer solutions.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience

• Risk identification and management
• Ability to Manage and drive performance of third-party suppliers and Vendors.
• Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving, and management skills.
• Practical experience with Azure platforms.
• Experience in application/workload migration to public cloud providers.
• Knowledge with System Architecture and Security tools.
• Experience collaborating with channel partners, systems integrators, across business units internally and at large enterprises.
• Broad understanding of customer needs; business requirements and how customer use cloud technology.
• Knowledge with Microsoft Office 365.
• Knowledge with GCP (Google Cloud Platform).

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Bachelor of computer science / engineering or any related experience.
• Strong Conversational English skill both oral and written.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud migration and architecture.
• Experience customer-facing role, working with stakeholders and driving customer technical implementations or transformation programs.
• Strong Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of the global cooperative team environment
• Very good analytical thinking skills, working under stress, Multitasking, Dynamic and Customer oriented
• Very good knowledge about AWS (Certifications are plus)
• Very good knowledge about Azure (Certifications are plus)
• Very good knowledge about GCP (Certifications are plus)
• Good at Scripting (Power shell or AWS CLI)
