Category Planning Manager

Main Purpose: Provides Category Focused Management interventions for the company analyzing industry and consumer trends and overseeing the 4 PCs to maximize sales and profitability. Responsibilities: • Develop category strategies & targets for the next 12 rolling months to drive business profitability, growth, share gain across all channels and regions in alignment with the overall business objectives, direction and Global stock market trends. • Forecast and manage the quarterly/monthly commercial calendar of activities ensuring strong presence across all channels for the entire portfolio driving market share providing clear execution guidelines and insights on opportunities for growth. • Lead quarter business review forum for all channels/regions with Marketing, trade marketing and field sales to review performance, distribution and review pervious activities and KPIs implementation and results. Analyse root-cause and opportunities for growth, cost optimization and distribution quality and revenue generation. • Develop category building blocks- forecasting model- activities. Distribution, new route to marketing, to ensure highest forecasting business accuracy and capture business trends. Presents periodical forecast and action plans to the relevant stakeholders and management for strategic alignment. • Setting distribution targets across multiple portfolio price segments to ensure proper performance, penetration and competitiveness for core range SKUs. Analyse performance post action to define proper revised strategies. • Calls for monthly forecasting cycle meetings and communication forums to align on direction and brand go to market strategies aiming profitable category and channel mix to unleash the potential. • Analyse and Report growth opportunities by category/category through retail audit, shopper and consumer insights demonstrating potential road map and revenue generation opportunities and profitability targets. • Liaise with Marketing, sales, finance the continuous improvements and building NPDs bottom up volumes, strategy and launch plans offering new innovative foot print in terms of brand competitiveness and leadership position; price, sales, growth margins, customer perception etc. Job Requirements: Education: - Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing or sales focused demonstrating business and financial acumen. Experience: - 7-10 years of experience in category planning, trade marketing or field sales. Languages: - English - Arabic.
