Financial Controller

Coordinate all financial reporting functions for the Egypt entities. These functions include accounting, financial controlling, supporting tax planning, and compliance and provide support to businesses. Ensures that regional financial statements are accurate, complete and in accordance with country requirements and corporate policies. Financial Controlling:

• Provides strategic decision support to the Regional and local General Manager).
• Prepare and work closely with India Hub for Month End activities for Egypt entities.
• Work closely with the bank to ensure smooth and timely transactions.
• Ensure all the transactions are in line with Local Egyptian tax and accounting laws and work closely with India Hub for capturing it in ERP.
• Review the payroll processing and accounting.
• Drive continuous improvement of transaction processes and maintain the internal control system for all countries in scope.
• Work closely with the business team to provide support from finance side.
• Ensure the Balance Sheet accounts reconciliations on monthly basis within the timelines of global xylem policy.
• Ensure compliance of all procedures and accounting policies in the Finance department(s).
• Facilitate needed changes to systems and Company accounting policies.
• Lead preparation and analysis of capital spending projects.
• Prepare required financial business presentations.
• Provide key financial metrics and analysis, including variance and trending.
• Champion a value-driven/cost-effective culture.
• Support Financial Controller of Africa Region in Adhoc requirements as and when required.

Audit and Compliance

• Conduct regular reviews of processes, controls, documentation and others to seek continuous improvement and to ensure SOX compliance.
• Liaise and work with external auditors on annual audited financial statements.
• Liaise and work with Internal Auditor for getting the Audit done.
• Prepare audit schedules and draft accounts.
• Comply with regulatory reporting requirements and tax filing.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS Internal: Local management, Regional management, India Accounting Hub External: Auditors, Suppliers, Bank , Consultant KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Requirements:

• Advanced degree in Accounting, Auditing or Finance.
• Minimum of 7 years of Strategic Finance Business Partner /Controllership experience, with a proven record of achievement.
• Solid regional finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles and processes.
• Ability to work fluently with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP.
• Hyperion or One Stream experience will be added advantage.
• Must be a “hands on” and self Driven individual.
• Strong communication skills and have good commercial acumen.
• Travel requirements: varies between 25% to 40%.

• Ability to support teams remotely.
• Ability to work with abroad management.
• Build effective relationships with a keen ability to influence.
