Remote Structural Draftsman

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Remote Structural Draftsman to produce precise structural drawings and documentation for residential, commercial, or industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural detailing, a strong grasp of construction methods and materials, and the ability to work efficiently in a remote team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed structural drawings including foundations, framing, steel reinforcement, and connection details
• Translate engineers designs and calculations into clear and accurate construction documents
• Draft structural plans, sections, and elevations using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant software
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant building codes, standards, and client requirements
• Collaborate remotely with structural engineers and other design team members
• Revise drawings based on engineer markups, redlines, or design updates
• Maintain drawing sets and version control using cloud-based document management systems
• Perform clash checks and coordinate with architectural and MEP drawings as needed
• Attend remote coordination meetings and provide technical drafting input
• Maintain high-quality standards and consistent formatting across all drawings

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or diploma from any faculty or equivalent qualification
• 3-6+ years of experience in structural drafting or detailing (remote work experience is a plus)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (Tekla, Bentley, or other BIM tools is a plus)
• Solid understanding of structural systems and construction practices (steel, concrete, wood, masonry)
• Knowledge of regional or international structural codes (e.g., ACI, AISC, Eurocode, AS/NZS)
• Excellent command of English (both spoken and written) for effective remote communication
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawing
• Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines remotely
• Reliable internet connection and a properly equipped home office setup
